'14 Graduate Thomas Misuraca's Eagle Scout Project Benefits STA

Eagle Scout is the highest ranking available in the Boy Scouts of America program and is an achievement you earn for life. In order to achieve this status, Boy Scouts are to earn a minimum of 21 merit badges and to demonstrate leadership, along with the Scout Oath & Law. It also includes an extensive service project which must be organized, planned, led, and managed by the Scout.

STA is fortunate that 2014 graduate Thomas Misuraca chose to execute his service project right here on campus.  The prayer garden located behind the school was in need of attention.  Thomas planned a wonderful renovation of the garden, which has resulted in a beautiful and serene place for students to go for reflection.  It also provides outdoor classroom space for Theology classes.

"This was such a fun project," said Misuraca. "Achieving Eagle Scout status is the culmination of leadership training I have had with the scouting program since I was seven years old."
