Jostens, the leading producer of yearbooks and student-created content, today announced that the Saint Thomas Aquinas yearbook program has been named a 2016 Jostens’ National Yearbook Program of Excellence. The National Yearbook Program of Excellence recognizes engaging yearbooks that reflect a broad representation of the student body while helping students develop 21st century skills such as communication, collaboration, and information and communication technologies (ICT) literacy.  

Update on 2016 Flood

The Administrative Team has met this morning.  The plan is to hold Freshman Orientation on Friday, August 19th and resume our regular school schedule on Monday, August 22nd with a 1-2-3-4-5-6 rotation. Friday is a full day for ALL faculty & staff.  Student Council will also reporton Friday for Orientation.
 
Safety is of utmost importance during this trying time.  Please use your best judgment in determining your personal ability to adhere to this schedule.

We have many families in need; not only our immediate STA families but also our extended ones.  We are so proud of our Falcons who have stepped forward to serve when asked and on their own.  We encourage all Falcons to continue to serve our community in every way possible. Please reach out to Coach Catalano at cole.catalano@stafalcons.org if you are in need OR if you can help with those who need it most.
 
Our seniors are at St. Albert's today until 3pm collecting toiletries, non-perishable food items, school supplies, laundry detergent and baskets, etc.  Please bring donations there if you can. 
 
Campus Ministry will also be at St. Albert's tomorrow collecting the same items from 9am-noon.  We are desperately in need of cleaning supplies.  STA uniforms and outerwear WILL be accepted, but NO OTHER CLOTHING DONATIONS AT THIS TIME PLEASE.  Any student who would like to assist in this collection effort or in assisting Coach Cat's team of house gutters/cleaners can meet at St. Albert's for assignments.

BOLTON PUTS ON A BLAZER

Reed Bolton, a 2016 graduate of Saint Thomas Aquinas of Hammond, LA, joined by his parents Tommy and Erin Bolton committed to attend Belhaven University in Jackson, MS. and play baseball for Blazer head coach Hill Denson. Reed, a four-time All-State selection earning both Academic and LSWA honors at STA, will play outfield for the Belhaven Blazers. Reed was a key player in the Falcons run to the LHSAA Class 2A State Championship this year batting lead-off with a .504 on-base percentage while collecting 22 stolen bases on the season.  Bolton's commitment makes him the 14th member of the class of 2016 to compete on the collegiate level.
