Thomas Family Pays It Forward

In late January, STA graduate Collin Rougeau Thomas '05 and her family lost their home in a fire. As part of Catholic School's Week, the STA student body held a Spirit Dress day in order to raise funds to assist the Thomas Family.  This week, with the massive and historic flooding in our area, the Thomas Family is paying those funds forward.

TANGIPAHOA PARISH SCHOOLS INCLUDING ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CLOSED TOMORROW, MONDAY, MARCH 14, 2016

St. Thomas Aquinas is safe and sustained no significant water damage due to the flooding of the past couple of days.  However, many of our employees and students suffered damages to their homes and/or property and would be unable to report to work and school tomorrow.  In addition to this, there are still numerous roads and bridges that remain closed at this time as well as a number of bridges that have not been inspected after the high water. Therefore, after consulting with parish and state officials and in order to err on the side of caution, the decision has been made to close school tomorrow, Monday, March 14, 2016.

The end of Quarter 3 will be on Tuesday, March 15th. All tests and assignments scheduled for Friday, March 11th will be due on Tuesday (or Wednesday, depending on the day you meet that class). Additionally, all students are REQUIRED to check their EBackpack and emails for assignments from teachers. Each teacher WILL submit an assignment of some type that will be due on Tuesday (or Wednesday, depending on when you meet that class.)  The reason for these assignments is so that we can count this day as a day that produced academic work and will not have to make the day up in May.

Additionally, the Baseball Team Fish Fry will still be held on Tuesday.
