Wednesday, April 17, 2013 / Categories: Press Releases, Athletics Hammond Mayor and City Council recognizes Basketball State Champs Hammond Mayor Mayson Foster and the Hammond City Council recently recognized the STA Girls' Basketball team for being the Class 2A State Champions, and excellent ambassadors for our community. Each player was presented a key to the city of Hammond, which the council president said, was "the key to the hearts of the people of Hammond." They were also each given a lapel pin and an ink pen.
