KRAMER RETURNS TO STA

Melanie Bouterie Kramer is returning to St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School as head coach for the Lady Falcons Basketball team, as well as in a new position as academic coordinator.

Kramer, a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University, taught English at STA for six years and at Mandeville High School for two years.  She has six years of high school basketball coaching experience: four years as assistant coach to the Lady Falcons, winning four district championships and two state championships in 2010 and 2013; and two years as Lady Falcons Head Coach, also winning district championships those years. She was the 2015 District 7-2A Coach of the Year.

She has previously served as English department chairperson, as well as chair of the School Improvement Team. She worked closely with the academic assistant principal during the Diocese of Baton Rouge’s most recent accreditation process.

“I am beyond excited to return to St. Thomas Aquinas where I began my high school education and coaching career eight years ago,” said Kramer. “As the academic coordinator, I look forward to collaborating with Mr. Sanguinetti to continue to advance the academic programming while also fostering the overall culture of excellence that STA is known for. As the head girls’ basketball coach, I am committed to preserving the legacy of diligence and success that I was able to be a part of in my previous six years at St. Thomas Aquinas.”

She and her husband Brad have two daughters: Khloe, age six, and Blythe, age 21 months.
