Moore named 2013 Distinguished Graduate

Brooks Moore has been selected as the 2013 Saint Thomas Aquinas High School Distinguished Graduate.  After graduating from STA in 1994, Brooks received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and went on to receive a Master’s Degree from Florida State University. Brooks is currently the Associate Dean of Students at Indiana State University. Brooks has worked in higher education administration for 14 years at Florida State University, University of Tennessee, University of Illinois, University of Southern Mississippi, and Indiana State University.

Principal José Becerra said, “Brooks was an excellent role model to his classmates at St. Thomas Aquinas. He emulated the mission of STA in developing the whole student, which was evident in his involvement in many school and community activities. Brooks was a true servant and used his experiences as he advanced his education and career.”

Brooks commented on his experience at STA, “Catholic education instills a values-based approach to living, learning, and community building. It focuses on human development with guidance and direction from Christian principles.”

Brooks is married to Lisa Ruster Moore and they have two children, Murphy (7) and Carter (5).
