Thursday, August 22, 2013 / Categories: Press Releases, Athletics Sophomore to represent LA in Tennis Championships STA sophomore Silvio Cocito-Monoc was recently chosen by the Louisiana Tennis Association Southern Cup coaches to represent Louisiana in the USTA Southern Cup Championships in Boys 18’s on September 20th- 22nd. Silvio was chosen for the 18s team even though he is only 15 years old. From the USTA website- The Southern Junior Cup, formerly the Junior Davis/Fed Cup, was created to give juniors the opportunity to experience the thrill and camaraderie of tennis as a team sport. Hosted at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, TN, and supported by title sponsor Bullfrog Waterproof Sunblock, the top three players from each state in the Southern Section are invited to participate in this highly acclaimed event.
