STA Students Excel at District Literary Rally

More than 50 STA students participated in the District Literary Rally held at Southeastern Louisiana University. Three students placed first: Rachael White in Art 4, Julia Rossano in English 4, and Ethan Mixon in World Geography. White also received a Southeastern scholarship.

            Ten additional students also qualified at the district level. They are Aaron Mixon, 2nd, Advanced Math 2; Alex Wisecarver, 5th, Biology 2; Kashish Wadhwa, 3rd, Chemistry; Juliette LeRay, 3rd, English 2; Leslie Matherne, 3rd, English 3; Kyle Benton, 2nd, Environmental Science; Abby Bates, 2nd, Health; Daniel Fox, 4th, Spanish 3; Parker Amar, 2nd, Spanish 4; and Ethan Jackson, 4th, Spelling.

            Other students who competed at the Rally were Nicholas Hudspeth, William Daley, Carly Drude, Matthew Linn, Brooke Bell, Jacob Becerra, Darian Boesch, Phanuwat Lekdee, Alexis Barrios, Darah Haidet, Mia Milton, Preston Richardson, Madeline Turgeau, Madison Perez, Benjamin Drummond, Samuel Drummond, Angelina Mesa, Jade Hurst, Mallorie Vaccaro, Blaine Jacob, Will Hetzinger, Abigail Collins, Maddie Pistorius, Kate Graziano, Tyler Domiano, Kellie Husser, Claire Krousel, Jaylen Jackson, Laura Anthon, Victoria Perrin, Liv Degreenia, Caroline Casey, Caroline Ingraffia, Lyndsi Pierre, Patricia Todd, Parker Amar, Blake Williams, Rebekah Johnson, Andrew Loyacano, and Christopher Threeton.

            District qualifiers will advance to the State Rally in April. Spelling and Art do not compete at the State level.
