Financial Aid Information
What is financial aid? Financial aid is assistance given to students and parents to help pay for college or vocational training. Although its generic terminology encompasses many forms, there are two basic types of financial aid: gifted and self-help. Gifted aid comes in the form of grants and scholarships. This type of financial aid does not have to be paid back but may have stipulations regarding qualifying and maintaining eligibility. Self-help comes in the form of loans and work study.
