STA sophomores were once again invited to participate in the Louisiana State Police Sudden Impact Program, where the students participated in a Safe Driving Presentation including

Distraction, Texting while Driving, Common Driver Violations, and more.

Please support our STA students who are members of Venture Crew 703, the Youth Group at St. Albert's during their Mother's Day Cake Sale. Cakes are $10 and include yellow, chocolate, red velvet, spice or carrot.  Funds raised will go toward the purchase of new equipment and for future events. The STA Home & School Association has selected Mr. Johnny  Milazzo as the 2013 recipient of the Mother Seton Award.  This award was created to honor those individuals whose volunteer service and dedication to home, school, and church has been exemplary.  Mother Seton recipients have strong Catholic values, and a selfless dedication to Catholic education. The Diocese of Baton Rouge honored all Mother Seton recipients at a luncheon on April 11, 2013.

STA senior Carly Keller signed a letter of intent this week to attend Delta State University located in Cleveland, MS and play basketball for the Lady Statesmen.

Hammond Mayor Mayson Foster and the Hammond City Council recently recognized the STA Girls' Basketball team for being the Class 2A State Champions, and excellent ambassadors for our community. 

The STA Environmental Science classes recently visited the Turtle Cove Environmental Research Station run by Southeastern Louisiana University.

While most were enjoying the Easter holidays, several students were fortunate to travel to Spain for an educational trip.
