Legette Promoted to Head Football Coach

Randell Legette has been named the new STA head football coach.

Randell Legette has been named the new STA head football coach.

Legette, who served as an assistant under former STA head coaches John White and Hutch Gonzales has been selected as the Falcons new head football coach. He previously served as Associate Head Football Assistant Coach starting in 2013 until present coaching the wide receivers and was the special teams coordinator.
 

“I'm really excited and I’m excited for the program, said Legette. “I’ve built relationships with the kids and the community, so it brought that sense of family. Our motto is ‘Our family. Our School.’ So to have the support from the STA family and community is a blessing.”

Legette is a graduate of John Curtis of River Ridge where is played on three LHSAA State Championship teams in 2002, 2004, and 2005. He received his bachelor degree at Southeastern Louisiana University and his Masters of Education from the University of Missouri at Columbia. 

He also has served as the head football coach for Holy Ghost Catholic Junior High for the 2014, 2015, and 2016 seasons.
