Cheerleaders start the year with a bang

STA's Cheerleaders recently attended a  Universal Cheerleaders Association camp in Panama City Beach, Fl. They participated in workshops on game day training, pep rallies, and stunting techniques. They competed in the large varsity division and were named Game Day champions, as well as placing second in Cheer. They received the coveted Leadership Award, which is voted on by the approximately 25 other teams in attendance at the camp. Seniors Traci Carollo, Angie G'sell, Bailey Cavallero, Isabel Oliva, and Maci Collins were selected as All-American Cheerleaders.

"UCA Camp at Panama City Beach was definitely an incredible learning experience for STA cheer," said head coach Katie Treadwell. "We bonded and grew together as a team and accomplished many of our goals. Camp was a great starting point for this team, and we hope to use what we learned during our camp experience to help shape our team for the rest of the year."
