Lauren Sampey Chosen as Mother Seton Honoree

STA has selected Mrs. Lauren Sampey as their 2017 Mother Seton recipient. This award was created by the Diocese to honor those individuals whose volunteer service and dedication to home, school, and Church has been exemplary. Mother Seton recipients have strong Catholic values and a selfless dedication to Catholic education.

“Lauren never fails to do whatever is asked of her. More importantly, she frequently steps in without us having to ask and is always there with a helping hand, a smile, and an encouraging word,” said Advancement Director Joshua Wittie.

Sampey has served as the President of the STA Home and School Association for five years. She is also a member of STA’s Advisory Board and a member of the Falcon Fest committee.  She is a former Holy Ghost Parish Fair Chairperson and a past member of the Salvation Army Board of Directors.

Lauren and her husband Tony have four children: Channing and Cailin are graduates of both Holy Ghost and St. Thomas Aquinas; Cade is a sophomore at STA; and Caroline is a 3rd grader at Holy Ghost. She will be honored at a Diocesan luncheon in April and at STA’s Baccalaureate Mass.
